The 100th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Pharmacological Society will be held over three days, from March 18 to 20, 2027, at Makuhari Messe. We are pleased to welcome you to this special occasion.

Since its establishment in 1927, the Japanese Pharmacological Society has contributed to the advancement of pharmacology through a broad spectrum of research, ranging from basic science to clinical applications. This meeting marks a major milestone, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Society.

The theme of this meeting is “100 Years of Pharmacology—Toward a Future as the Science of Regulating Life.” Pharmacology studies the interactions between molecules and living systems. It aims to elucidate the mechanisms that regulate life across multiple levels, from molecular interactions to cellular and tissue responses, and ultimately to physiological functions and pathological conditions in the whole organism. These insights form the foundation of drug discovery and medical practice and have driven the progress of the life sciences.

Over the past century, pharmacology has advanced through its mission to understand life, regulate it, shape the future. On this important occasion, through commemorative programs and symposia, we aim to share the history and cutting-edge achievements of pharmacology and to foster open discussion among participants, from experienced researchers to students.

We sincerely hope that dialogue across generations—among pioneers who have shaped the field, researchers leading it today, and the young scientists who will lead it into the future—will mark the beginning of a new century of pharmacology. We very much look forward to your participation.
